Fans of the Chris Hardwick hosted Comedy Central series @Midnight will need to tune in thirty minutes earlier starting January 5th and lasting for two weeks. The network is moving up the internet fed comedy series into the 11:30 slot vacated by The Colbert Report before moving in the regular replacement, The Nightly Show hosted by Larry Wilmore, into that slot on January 19th.
For those not familiar with @Midnight, the series have three guest comedians in a faux game show setting where they have to come up with funny comments in relation to things that happened on the internet that day. Hardwick uses the audience reaction to the comments to award points to the contestants and the one with the most points wins the internet until the next episode. The show has a series of regular comedians like: Paul F Tompkins, Ron Funches, Doug Benson, John Hodgeman and Nikki Glaser then mixes in the occasional guest contestant like: Drew Carey, Greg Proops, Wil Wheaton and Weird Al Yankovic. The show runs Monday through Thursday.
The change of schedule was announced on the last episode of the year that aired December 18th following the final episode of The Colbert Report.
