Cassandra Peterson created the character of Elvira after auditioning for the host role on the Los Angeles Fright Night series in the early 80's.

PUG was first started in 1999 by Laura Byrnes from the comfort of her own living room, catering to online sales of classic 50's and 60's shapes and styles.
