Quentin Tarantino Explains Why His Next Film Will Be Another Western

Quentin Tarantino and Jay Leno sat down last night for a chat about the upcoming collected edition of the Django Unchained comics. Several other interesting things came up during their chat, including Tarantino's first, pre-Reservoir Dogs appearance on a Leno chat show, his writing process and the scantest details of his plans for a new movie.

Here are a couple of clips.

The key quotes, perhaps, relate to the western that Tarantino is writing now:

It's not a Django sequel, but it's another western. The thing is, I had so much fun doing Django and I love westerns so much that after I taught myself how to make one it's like "Well, okay, let me make another one now I know what I'm doing."

I wouldn't be surprised if something else takes precedence and Tarantino puts this aside for another project, though I'd certainly welcome another western, and soon.
