The Walking Dead's Lennie James To Join Blade Runner Sequel

bladerunnerSoon, we'll all be in the Blade Runner sequel.

The Denis Villeneuve film already boasts an extraordinary amount of talent, but according to Entertainment Weekly, The Walking Dead's Lennie James is also joining the cast.

Harrison Ford returns as Rick Deckard; the Blade Runner of the original film who may or may not be a synthetic human depending on who you talk to. Besides James, actors like Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Dave Bautista, and Barkhad Abdi will join Ford in a story set decades after the original. Which, considering the five-year lifespans of Replicants in the first film, may actually suggest Deckard was human after all.

Of course, that debate could always be at the center of the film as Replicants have no doubt become more advance in the decades since Deckard left town with an experimental model with no built-in end date. It's possible they, too, no longer know how long they will live and could be even more indistinguishable from humans.

Blade Runner 2 comes to theaters on October 6th, 2017.
