Thunderbirds Are Go, the recent reboot of the 1960s Supermarionation series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, has received a four season commitment from Amazon Studios, according to Variety.
The first season aired last year in the UK on ITV and featured Rosamund Pike as the voice of secret agent Lady Penelope. The series will debut on Amazon Prime in the US and other territories later this year.
Each season will be thirteen episodes long and make use of both CGI animation and live action sets in memory of the original program. Actor David Graham also returns as Penelope's chauffeur Parker, a part he first voiced in 1965.
The series, produced by ITV Studios and Pukeko Pictures with Weta Workshop, also features Kayvan Novak as Brains and Rasmus Hardiker and Thomas Brodie-Sangster as the Tracy Brothers of International Rescue. The group saves lives with advanced rescue craft specialized for emergency situations on land, in the sea, in the air and in space.
