TIFF have just announced a number of new titles for the festival in September, including new Gala Screenings and Special Presentations.
Deadline have the full list and it makes for tantalising reading. The TIFF website have also added the new additions to their website, including images from each of the films.
Three of these new images are our first look at John Turturro's Fading Gigolo, which stars Woody Allen. Its very rare to see Allen in front of the camera in a film that he hasn't directed himself but Turturro somehow managed to convince him. Fading Gigolo also stars John Turturro, Sharon Stone, Liev Schreiber, Sofia Vergara and Vanessa Paradis.
Another new addition to the TIFF line-up is The Last of Robin Hood, a new film from Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland, which depicts the last days of Errol Flynn's life. As with any film that features an actor playing a famous real life person the casting is a very tricky business. I think they've made a pretty smart choice with casting Kevin Kline here. He looks just enough like him to convince if the performance is of a high enough standard.
