The Expanse, a new SyFy space opera based on the novels of James S.A. Corey (the collaborative pen name of Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck) and now it has it's star, former Punisher Tom Jane. In the new series set 200 years in the future, Jane will play Miller, a detective for a corporation from the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter… called the Expanse. Miller gets caught up in the case of the missing young heiress and teamed with a rogue ship captain in a race across the solar system to expose the greatest conspiracy in human history.
"Thomas Jane is exactly the type of high caliber actor we hoped this project would attract," Bill McGoldrick, Syfy's executive vice president of original content, said in a statement. "The intelligence and nuance he brings to every performance is perfect for the role of Miller."
The Expanse series of novels is planed to be 9 books long. The fifth and sixth books will be published June of 2015 and 2016. The series began with the novel Leviathan Wakes and is the basis for the series.
