Transporter Reboot To Hit Theaters In March Of Next Year

With his movie Lucy currently in theaters and doing well, Luc Besson's company Europacorp announced Friday that his planned reboot of the Transporter franchise will hit theaters March 6, 2015.

The planned trilogy is going to start Ed Skrein and will be called Transporter Legacy. Skrein played Dario Naharis on Game of Thrones when the character was introduced but left before the most recent season began. Since this movie is in production it is possible this is why he left GoT.

To me the Transporter movies succeeded in part because of Jason Statham's screen presence (along with all the butt kicking)… it will be interesting to see if Skrein can equal that. I mean if your movie is basically about a guy in a car, he better be a pretty interesting guy.
