New TV Spot for Black Panther Shows Off Some Unusual Tech
One has to imagine going into an established universe like the Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn't leave a lot of room for creativity. The rules of the universe have been established — at least they more or less have on Earth. Black Panther and director Ryan Coogler do have a ton of room to explore in Black Panther from the setup alone. Wakanda is technologically advanced, and we don't know anything about it. That leaves the doors wide open for some crazy tech, and the new TV spot appears to showcase some.
That force field thing looks like something out of the prequel era of Star Wars, but it's kind of cool to see something that science fiction used in a movie that isn't Guardians of the Galaxy.
Summary: T'Challa, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king.
Black Panther, directed Ryan Coogler, stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, and Martin Freeman. It will be released on February 16th.
