AEW Dynamite: Henry Cejudo, Vitor Belfort, Rashad Evans, Mike Tyson

Look, folks, we only have 69 characters to make a headline, and verbs just aren't happening this time. AEW Dynamite aired on TNT tonight, the first episode of the weekly pro wrestling show since Saturday's Double or Nothing PPV. Spoilers ahead.

Yeah, that happened on AEW Dynamite.

The big news of the night came from the opening segment, a pep rally for Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle, who lost to The Elite at the Stadium Stampede match at Double or Nothing. The squad was feeling a little bit sorry for themselves after a run of bad luck lately, and after trying to cheer each other up, Chris Jericho said there's just one thing he wanted: revenge on Mike Tyson for the events of a WWE Monday Night Raw in 2010.

So Jericho called out Tyson, who was, after all, advertised for the show. And Tyson arrived. And he brought along with him Henry Cejudo, the former UFC Bantamweight Champion who retired at UFC 249 earlier this month after retaining his title against Dominick Cruz, oh, and Olympic gold medalist as well. Also amongst Tyson's posse were retired former UFC Light Heavyweight champions, Vitor Belfort and Rashad Evans. After some trash talking, a brawl broke out and social distancing went out the window as the ring filled with wrestlers, officials, and crew to pull the two groups apart. Watch the video below.

As crazy as it sounds, it seems like AEW might be building to a match between Chris Jericho and Mike Tyson, or even crazier, between the Inner Circle and Tyson's posse of MMA stars. At least, they'd better be, because teasing such a thing and not delivering in some way would be a rare but massive self-inflicted mistake. But AEW hasn't given us any reason to doubt this will pay off somehow. You know, we'd settle for Mike Tyson in a one-on-one match with his shirt, which bested him a battle to rip it off during the segment. We kid, Mike. Don't kill us. On Twitter, AEW had a post-altercation interview with Tyson, which you can click through to the tweet to watch.

In other news, Cody Rhodes appeared with his new TNT Championship and announced plans to defend the title each week on Dynamite. His first challenger will be Jungle Boy, who won a battle royale for the honor. Oh, and the WWE tag team formerly known as The Revival, now known as FTR, debuted, beating down The Butcher and The Blade and staring down the Young Bucks. The video is below if you click through to the tweet.

Also, Hikaru Shida defended her Women's Championship against Christi Jaynes. Brian Cage, who is next in line to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship, made his Dynamite debut. And Dr. Britt Baker said she'll make her return from injury at All Out. And lots more too. Lauren will be here tomorrow with her full review of the show, so check back then.
