Black Lightning Season 1: The Cast Reacts to Black Lightning in Action
This week's Black Lightning opened with Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) suited up and trying out some theoretical new powers. For some reason, testing out whether or not he can use his electricity powers to fly involved him jumping off a four-story building. Why he couldn't test it from the ground, I don't know. But it was successful, and he ends up coming across a kid, high on 'green light' fighting the cops. Black Lightning drops down, stops the cops' bullet, then tasers the kid twice until he's out. He chastises the cops to try using a taser before shooting. The cops, who seem a bit stunned, nod.
In the video below, called Couch Reactions, the Pierce family — Jefferson, Lynn (Christine Adams), Anissa (Nafessa Williams) and Jennifer (China Ann McClain) react to the scene as themselves, not the characters. Then they ask Cress his favorite parts of being a superhero… they have to stop him from giving away spoilers though that included the words "killed that guy". It's a quick, fun video to promote the series.
Black Lightning will return February 27th at 9 p.m. ET on the CW.
