During an interview with Netflix's TUDUM at the start of the year, series creator Charlie Brooker reflected on the seventh season of Black Mirror and confirmed that the critically acclaimed series will return for an eighth season. When asked about the show's future, Brooker shared, "Well, luckily it does have a future, so I can confirm that 'Black Mirror' will return, just in time for reality to catch up with it. So, that's exciting. That chunk of my brain has already been activated and is whirring away." Nearly eight months later (pretty fitting), Netflix announced on Monday that production on Season 8 was now underway.
