With the recent recovery of some classic Doctor Who episodes, many fans have been excited to see what was once thought to be a lost piece of the series. But as we have discovered recently, one of the biggest fans to express joy over being found is one of the Doctors, David Tennant. If you're not already up to speed on the situation, two episodes from the First Doctor, William Hartnell, were recently rediscovered after many thought they had been lost to time and production costs, as the BBC frequently would tape over old reels to save money. A bigger effort has been made in recent years to search for episodes from the 1960s, as the BBC sent copies of episodes around the world to broadcast partners, and some have been found sitting in archive warehouses and storage areas that people never bothered to check.

David Tennant Made Sure to Check Out The "Lost" Doctor Who Episodes
When these episodes are found, the BBC has taken the time to try and restore them as best they can for public viewing, as it now seems they will be on an ever-continuing quest to complete the episode library (if possible). So when new episodes do drop, they make an event of it for everyone to enjoy. Which brings us to a post on Instagram, where Georgia Tennant posted in her Stories that she had "lost my husband to @bbciplayer," as it's clear David has run off to see the new episodes drop for the first time based on the sounds we hear in the background.

It's kind of entertaining to know that all these years later, even after playing the character multiple times over, Tennant is still a fan at heart and will take hours out of his day to watch old episodes. If you're outside the UK and want to see them, you can do so on YouTube, as two episodes of "The Daleks' Master Plan" from Doctor Who Season 3 are available now.
