Masters of the Universe: Revelation: Kevin Smith Clears Up Rumor Again

It's been a little more than three months since Netflix, and director and "Uber-Geek" Kevin Smith announced the voice cast for its sequel anime series return to Eternia, Masters of the Universe: Revelation (more on that impressive list below). Since that time, Smith and writers Marc Bernardin (Castle Rock), Eric Carrasco (Supergirl), Diya Mishra (October Faction), and Tim Sheridan (The Death and Return of Superman); the cast, and animation studio Powerhouse (Castlevania) have been hard at work on the project. Of course, that left a void in the news that must be fed so around March, rumors started circulating that "insiders" were reporting that the series was going to have He-Man as a supporting character to Teela and that Teela was going to have a girlfriend in the series. As someone who's actually seen the scripts, Smith quickly put those rumors to rest while throwing in a perfect example of how the internet can play fast-n-loose with the facts. So done deal, right?

Two months later, the same "insider details" would surface in a ScreenRant post, leading Smith to push back again on the report and emphasize that the series is "LITERALLY all about He-Man". Yet with Twitter being Twitter, even the person who's "read every… script" and "viewed 4 amazing animatics" isn't above being questioned by those who haven't (and who apparently have loose definitions of the words "bash" and "belittle"). Check out the unexpected two-months-plus, four-act play for yourselves below:
