Now that we've got our guy back across the pond and back to where he should be, the hard work really begins. That's where things stand heading into this week's episode of Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly's Ted Lasso Season 4, S04E02: "Curiouser and Curiouser." But even before he can focus on Richmond's women's team, Ted (Sudeikis) has the not-so-small matter of contending with not everyone being thrilled about his return. One of the new faces we're getting to know a whole lot more about in this episode is Tanya Reynolds' (Sex Education) Alice, the assistant coach of AFC Richmond's women's soccer team.

Haunted by a recurring ACL injury, Alice continues making the transition from player to coach – but it hasn't been easy. "A lot of the series' arc for Alice is about her finding her best kind of coach self and learning how to better communicate and be vulnerable with the team," Reynolds shared about what attracted her to Alice's story. "I was very interested in this idea of this character who is very brittle and spiky on the outside, but inside is actually quite wobbly." Ted Lasso Season 4 Episode 2: "Curiouser and Curiouser" – Ted returns to Richmond to meet the Lady Greyhounds, but not everyone is glad to see him. Directed by MJ Delaney and written by Leann Bowen.

In season four, Ted (Sudeikis) returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would. The series stars Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift (with Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely also joining the cast).

Jack Burditt (Nobody Wants This, 30 Rock) joins the series as an executive producer. Sudeikis will executive produce in addition to starring. Hunt, Kelly, Toheeb Jimoh, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel will also executive produce. Brent Goldstein is attached to write and executive produce along with Leanne Bowen. Stemming from Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, the season will also see Lawrence executive-produce under his Doozer Productions banner alongside Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer. Sara Walker and Phoebe Walsh are writers and producers on the fourth season, with Sasha Garron co-producing. Julia Lindon will also write for the season, with Dylan Marron serving as story editor.
