Ted Raimi to Host New Horror Talk Show Your Dearest Darkest Friend

Ted Raimi's new horror interview show, Your Dearest Darkest Friend, has wrapped production and will debut this October on Screambox.

Ted Raimi will host a new half-hour horror chat show titled Your Dearest Darkest Friend. The half-hour show will feature the host talking to a variety of horror icons while serving them drinks. The show has finished production and will be released on Screambox in October this year. Guests on the show will be announced soon. It is being produced by Tony Wash, Charlie Queen, Lauren Leshansky, and Ted Raimi. Expect some wackiness with this series, as only Ted can provide.

Ted Raimi Is A Perfect Host For This

"Yes, it's weird. Truthfully, it's a very odd concept for a talk show. We didn't care: We all agreed it would appeal to the crowd we all knew would dig it – horror fans," Ted Raimi said.  "The concept for this show came straight from Ted's quirky yet twisted mind, and it was truly a joy to bring to life on screen. It's a blend of genres and formats that feels really fresh while still having a classic quality, with its influences firmly rooted in some of the most beloved horror, talk show, and comedy touchstones of the last century. There is something here for every horror fan to enjoy," Queen added.

Here is the synopsis for the series: "Set inside a frightfully fantastical home, Your Dearest Darkest Friend brings together some of the greatest minds in modern horror for intimate, unexpected, and delightfully offbeat conversations. Raimi gets behind the personas to reveal the people, stories, and inspirations behind the genre's most memorable nightmares – all while his haunted puppet pals add their own mischievous touch to the proceedings."

I am all in for this. Ted Raimi is fantastic and a gem of a human being, based on all the interactions I have had with him. He is perfect for this, and I hope that he is able to give us a deeper look into the horror guests and their work than expected.
