Painkiller Jane was created by Jimmy Palmiotti and Joe Quesada for Event Comics in 1995. Jane Vasko is a vigilante cursed with an extreme regenerative healing factor that is incredibly painful, bringing her (repeatedly) back from the dead. She first appeared in the series 22 Brides as an undercover cop infiltrating a mob family, before getting her own series-of-series/ Over the years she has crossed over with characters like The Punisher, Hellboy, Vampirella, and The Darkness, has been published by Event Comics, Dynamite, and Marvel, and got a 2005 TV movie starring Emmanuelle Vaugier and a 2007 Syfy TV series starring Kristanna Loken. And now, after thirty years, Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner and PaperFilms are crowdfunding a collection of her greatest cover images across those thirty years, and adding a few new ones for good measure, with Painkiller Jane: Uncovered, a 64‑page one‑shot love letter to Painkiller Jane's history, in a premium format, logo‑free, remastered, and curated.
