Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 Teaser; Miya Cech as Toph
Avatar: The Last Airbender released a teaser for Season 2, and announced that Miya Cech has been cast in the role of Toph.
Netflix's Geeked Week 2024 wrapped up in a very big way on Thursday night. The big event, which was live from Atlanta, Georgia, followed up three days of news and previews with some even bigger reveals—including for fans of Showrunners Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani's Gordon Cormier-starring live-action take on the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. A little more than six months after learning the series would be back for two seasons – wrapping up its run with Season 3 – Ian Ousley (Sokka) and Dallas Liu (Prince Zuko) took the stage after host Joe Manganiello teased that there would be a lot of time spent in the Earth Kingdom. From there, we were treated to a teaser previewing Toph for this season – who will be played by Miya Cech. And yes, if you can't tell from all of that – production is underway!
Looking Back at Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 1
Water. Earth. Fire. Air. The four nations once lived in harmony, with the Avatar, master of all four elements, keeping peace between them. But everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked and wiped out the Air Nomads, the first step taken by the firebenders towards conquering the world. With the current incarnation of the Avatar yet to emerge, the world has lost hope.
But like a light in the darkness, hope springs forth when Aang (Gordon Cormier), a young Air Nomad — and the last of his kind — reawakens to take his rightful place as the next Avatar. Alongside his newfound friends Sokka (Ian Ousley) and Katara (Kiawentiio), siblings and members of the Southern Water Tribe, Aang embarks on a fantastical, action-packed quest to save the world and fight back against the fearsome onslaught of Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim). But with a driven Crown Prince Zuko (Dallas James Liu) determined to capture them, it won't be an easy task. They'll need the help of the many allies and colorful characters they meet along the way.
