The Wheel of Time S02: Dónal Finn In, Barney Harris Out as Mat Cauthon
With close to two months to go before the series premiere, viewers of Amazon and showrunner & EP Rafe Judkins' upcoming series adaptation of Robert Jordan's famed "The Wheel of Time" will already need to prepare themselves for a big change with the second season. Deadline Hollywood reports exclusively that Barney Harris will not be portraying Mat Cauthon in Season 2, with The Witcher star Dónal Finn stepping into the role. With filming on the second season currently underway, there was no reason given for the recasting. The news comes less than a week after it was announced that Sanaa Hamri (Shameless, Empire) would be joining the team as both executive producer & director for the second half of Season 2.
