Avatar Plug Of The Week — CROSSED: Badlands #8

Hitting this week from your friends at Avatar Press is the penultimate installment of Jamie Delano and Leandro Rizzo's story arc from CROSSED: Badlands.  It's all the weirdness and depravity in a world gone horribly wrong that you've come to expect from CROSSED, topped off with more than a little extra that you didn't expect.  Delano does weird, off-kilter horror better than pretty much anyone, his foundational Hellblazer run is one of the most underrated Vertigo series of that era (which is saying something), and his current Crossed: Badlands run shows that he's honed his nasty edge in the 20-some years since then.
