Will Donny Cates Spill The Tea About Marvel, DC And More Tonight?
Donny Cates is planning an Ask Me Anything AMA session tonight, and is realy to spill everything... from his perspective at least.

Donny Cates posted to TwitterX last night "Thinking about doing an AMA tomorrow afternoon/evening. Been too long, we should catch up. Would anyone be up for that kind of thing?" Getting a positive response he added, "Okay let's do it. I'll tweet a link out tomorrow after I wake up and have my tea."
Donny Cates was one of Marvel Comics' brightest young talents as a writer, who has also launched a number of successful creator-owned projects and was a very popular comics Substack publisher as well. Then he was hit by a series of incidents, including a car crash, which reportedly left him hospitalised and with memory loss, saw him drop off a number of major projects, including Hulk, Thor and the planned revamp of the Ultimate Comics line, which was his rather than Jonathan Hickman's initially. I am now told that at one stage, he was a prominent part of Scott Snyder's Absolute Comics, but that was no longer the case.
He also appears to be in conflict with Marvel Studios over the use of his work on Thanos with the Avengers Campus experience, and for his King In Black work with the Spider-Man 2 video game, for which it seems he was uncredited and not compensated for.
Given his outspoken nature, and no longer in a situation where he is as easily able to burn bridges, it might make for some very interesting questions to those answers indeed. As well as those Substack subscribers still waiting for what they ordered. I expect that all manner of layers might be paying keen attention as well. Because once someone starts spilling tea, it turns into a Mad Hatter's Tea Party all over the place. Sadly I will likely be asleep to it all, thanks to certain timezone issues, so I wonder what I will wake up to?
