Amanda Waller, the Adrian Veidt of the DC Universe? [No Justice #4, Doomsday Clock #5 Spoilers]
Today sees the release of mini-series finale Justice: No Justice #4 and Watchmen sequel Doomsday Clock #5, from entirely different islands and opposing editorial and creative islands within DC Comics. And yet a few surprising similarities.
Today's Doomsday Clock has Batman discover Adrian Veidt's history after reading Rorschach's Journal — even though most of the details discovered in the Watchmen final confrontation and the millions of dead aren't recorded in it. Never mind, someone must have written them up in the margins.
The Hero Syndrome. Another way Watchmen inspired The Incredibles.
Veidt rejects that comparison, stating his motives as being altruistic if the consequences are wrong. But Justice League: No Justice has Amanda Waller step up in a similar fashion.
Blowing up millions of her own. Looks like Batman will have to take her down too.
Batman has a lot of Veidts to deal with today…
I mean, that sounds like Waller too, right?
