Flash Season 4: Cisco Learns The Kilg%re Was Here
We've been hearing that the fourth season of The Flash will have a much lighter tone than last season. We're also told there are some very funny moments in tonight's episode… that said, the clip they've chosen to release is definitely not on the funny side. Sure there is a cute moment when Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) is strutting his stuff… but it gets serious when he see the mangled mess of a body inside a crushed elevator.
The scenes includes Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) back on the job as the Central City CSI guy along with Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) and Captain Singh (Patrick Sabongui). They're investigating an elevator that dropped a 100 floors with a guy inside. Cisco arrives to discover encrypted code on the elevator computer, meaning that it wasn't a glitch, but rather a hacker. This is likely the work of Kilg%re, a sentient computer virus/creature from the comics. It first appeared in Flash vol 2 #3 in 1987, created by Mike Baron and Jackson Guice. In the comic it was of alien origin, having devoured it's own planet and made it's way to Earth. It is more likely here to be a creation of the Thinker (Neil Sandilands), the big bad for the season.
The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 PM on the CW.
