Article Summary
- Dropout surprises fans with Dimension 20: On a Bus Season 2 for April Fool's Day.
- Four top Dungeon Masters are hilariously tormented with chaotic, purposefully bad gameplay.
- Originated from a viral Game Changer episode where annoying the DM became the main goal.
- The new episode is available on YouTube and Dropout, delighting Dimension 20 enthusiasts.
Dropout decided to give their fans what they wanted and play an April Fool's Joke on everyone at the same time, as they gave Dimension 20: On a Bus a second season. In case you're unfamiliar with how we got here, the Dropout show Game Changer aired an episode last year in which the premise was that three cast members approved proposals from other participating cast members to see whose content would get the most engagement on social media. One of those proposals came from comedian Katie Marovitch, who proposed running an episode of their actual-play TTRPG series, Dimension 20, with the singular purpose of annoying their resident Dungeon Master, Brennan Lee Mulligan. The bit also included fellow professional DM's Aabria Iyengar, Jasmine Bhullar, and Matthew Mercer.

The video was one of the bigger proposals to get engagement, and it even got fans to ask that Dropout make it a full show, even if it was just for one episode. Well, fans got their wish this week, as the company filmed an entire 55-minute episode and called it Season 2, featuring Marovitch as the "Dragon Master" and all four DM's back at the table for absolutely backward, incomplete, and just plain incorrect levels of gameplay. You can see the full episode on both YouTube and their platform, but you have to be a subscriber to either to watch. Fingers crossed they do a third episode, because this is one of the best versions of Dimension 20 in the entire pantheon of seasons.
