With the 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards set to go live from Tokyo, Japan, on May 23rd, Crunchyroll announced the nominees for the 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Before you hit the complete list below, a few notes first:
- Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, Dan Da Dan Season 2, Gachiakuta, My Hero Academia final season, The Apothecary Diaries Season 2, and The Summer Hikaru Died are just some of the works that scored big this year.
- Anime fans can vote every single day for the shows, movies, creators, artists, and musicians they love until voting closes on April 14, 2026, at 11:59:59 p.m. PT.
- Japanese singer Dean Fujioka will open the ceremony with "History Maker," from Yuri!!! on ICE – the first Crunchyroll Anime Awards' Anime of the Year recipient. In addition, Pornograffitti, Asian Kung-Fu Celebration, Yoko Takahashi, and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra are set to perform.
- The first round of presenters announced includes RZA, Winston Duke, Asuka Saito, Danna, Enako, Hannah Bahng, Kasumi Arimura, Mitorizu, Nanase Nishino, Nyvi Estephan, Rashmika Mandanna, and Snitchery.
- Hiroki Totoki, President and CEO of Sony Group Corporation, returns to deliver opening remarks, which will be hosted by voice actress Sally Amaki and entertainer Jon Kabira.
