Invincible Iron Man #1 Sells Over 300,000 – But To Whom?
ComicBook.com, edited by Marvel's ex-PR guy James Vascardi has reported that his old boss David Gabriel has told the website that Invincible Iron Man #1 has pre-sold over 300,000 to comic book retailers, crossing that all important number which means that the All-New All-Different launch title did as least as well as the Marvel Now launch title Uncanny Avengers a few years ago.
We don;t know yet if this involved a Nerd Block here or a Game Stop there, but it's possible. There are certainly plenty of variant and tiered variant covers, as well as launch party promotions.
Also it's a big new book by Brian Bendis and David Marquez, so that should help too.
Meanwhile Marvel PR guy and ex-Bleeding Cool writer Chris D'Lando has told us bugger all. Not even the Skottie Young variant cover to the issue above. Ah well.
The comic comes out on October 7th, alongside the final issue of Secret Wars…
