Welcome to Wanted – an occasionally appeal for well-paid comic book projects from publishers with an urgent need to hire for a project. No back-end, low page-rate, new-to-Previews publishers here, just very specific requests or an urgent nature.

WANTED: Japanese manga artist to work on advertising project from a major UK beauty brand.

A manga artist to produce a bespoke full-colour work for use on some limited-edition make-up packaging and promotional material, Tokyo themed, to work around the Olympics. Artist should be Japanese, with strong knowldge of Tokyo – even if they no longer live there. The brief will be about expressing the nature of Japanese culture in 2020 in the context of what the western world sees Japanese visuals, but avoiding caricature. They deliberately want the artist's interpretation of this as an art piece rather than super-commercial. Deadline, three weeks time.

WANTED: Comics artist to work on high profile comic book magazine projects with a major cultural figure. Artist to be of the school of Moebius, by way of Andre Lima Araujo. Wanted immediately.
