The Russians Are Here – The Ad Running In New York, Los Angeles And Washington

Talk of the Russians have been flooding television news for months and months. Investigations on Capital Hill, undisclosed meetings with Russian officials and talk of collusion made Thursday's televised testimony by former FBI Director James Comey one of the most watched events of the week. And now Deadline has pointed out a full-page ad running in today's New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Washington Post claiming simply: The Russians Are Here and dramatically showing a Russian flag draped over the Washington Monument.

Is this some political statement? A message reminding us that the all of our intelligence agencies believe the Russians actively interfered in the U.S. elections in 2016?

This is actually a For Your Consideration / Emmy campaign ad for the FX series The Americans. Pretty clever marketing there.
