Marvel's Cloak and Dagger Season 1: Tyrone Skips School in Clip from Premiere

Tonight is the premiere of Marvel's Cloak and Dagger, the new 10-episode series on Freeform. The characters have been part of the Marvel comic universe since they were created in 1982 by Bill Mantlo and Ed Hannigan in the pages of Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #64. The characters powers feed off of each other, making them an interesting pair and a favorite among readers since their debut. To go along with tonight's release, Marvel has put out a new digital Cloak and Dagger comic and Freeform has released a clip from tonight's episode.

In the clip below we see Tyrone (Aubrey Joseph) studying when his mother comes in to confront him about not going to school. Adina (Gloria Reuben) is upset, but after a few minutes Tyrone turns the conversation to the truth: that she's scared of losing him the same way she lost her other son. This is one of the big changes in the series from the comics in that we are spending time with Tyrone and Tandy's parents as opposed to how we met them in the comics, as runaways. We'll also get to see more of Tandy (Olivia Holt) and her family when the series begins.

Marvel's Cloak and Dagger's two-hour premiere is tonight on Freeform.
