Leftover Stock of Marvel's Incoming #1 Pulped at Diamond Warehouse, But No Need to Worry

Something very special is happening next week during the most wonderful time of the year. No, we're not talking about Christmas (though if we were, we'd ask the question: are the people in Walking in a Winter Wonderland having sex with the snowman?). We're talking about the release of Incoming #1, Marvel's one-shot anthology special that ties together everything that's happened in the Marvel Universe for the last year and sets the stage for what will be coming in 2020. But in the opposite of a Christmas miracle, we understand that Diamond has pulped all remaining copies of Incoming in their warehouse due to a manufacturing defect. Does that mean that Marvel fans will be without their big Marvel event fix during the holidays?

Well, probably not. Kris Kringle, the world's most powerful mutant (and second most powerful Chris behind Chris Claremont), should have already dropped off copies of Incoming to most local comic book shops, due to the fact that both he and conventional shipping companies will be off-schedule due to next week's Holiday. So the copies in the warehouse are extras and shouldn't affect next week's in-store stock. In addition, a second printing of Incoming was already underway before final order cutoff for the first printing.

So unless a grinch breaks into your local comic shop, steals all the copies of incoming, and forces his poor, abused dog to pull them up a mountain in a sleigh, you should be fine. If not, well, as a consolation, we're sure Diamond would be happy to send you a subscription to the jelly of the month club. That's the gift that keeps on giving the whole year.

Incoming #1 is in stores December 26th.
