Bleeding Cool Bestseller List: 7th June 2015 – Secret Star Darkseid Wars
This is the Top Ten Bleeding Cool Bestseller List, as compiled by a number of comic stores from their sales on Wednesday and Thursday. It measures what are known as the "Wednesday Warriors", those who can't wait to the weekend to get this week's comics. We salute you, and the keenness you bring to your passion.
Secret Wars takes the top, the comic to beat out Star Wars, in almost all stores. And helped by Secret Wars and Star Wars, Marvel took nine of the top ten, with Justice League as the only DC You title to break through.
- 1. Secret Wars #3
- 2. Star Wars #6
- 3. Darth Vader #6
- 4. Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #1
- 5. Justice League #41
- 6. Years Of Future Past #1
- 7. All-New X-Men #41
- 8. Princess Leia #4
- 9. Amazing Spider-Man #18.1

And this is what they had to say,
Man, Marvel absolutely DOMINATED our sales this week. We ordered a little light on DC's new titles, and while they all sold well (some even sold out), the only one that made the top 10 was Justice League. Secret Wars is going really strong here, as is Star Wars, but some customers were a little surprised to see Star Wars, Vader, and Leia all on the new release rack on the same week. Space it out Marvel!
Lots of customers have been coming in looking for any and all Flash comics, most likely due to the success of the TV show.
I am very happy to have my regular DC books back. New #1s did well, but not as well as the Star Wars books and the Secret Wars stuff. Great week all around.
Convergence is over!
…and DC is still getting their ass handed to them by Marvel at our store.
One DC book in our top ten this week. Justice League #41, which I thought was quite good. Spider Woman #8 outsold all of DC's #1s this week. If anyone needs a copy of Midnighter #1, we have plenty.Secret Wars #3 took the top spot with nothing else close to it. Some kind of licensed sci-fi books took three of the top ten spots.
Renew Your Vows was our highest charting Secret Wars #1 by far but Spider-books always do really well for us. Had a few people lamenting the end of Superior Iron Man.Still getting a ton of comments to the effect that Marvel & DC are all just terrible now but our sales have shown no decline.
Marvel takes #1 through #9. Dc comics takes 10th spot with Action #41. Star Wars at #1 spot almost triples second place in sales. Though it might sound great for Marvel we are in the business to sale all publishers. Independents and Dc comics really need to bring their "A" game the next 8 weeks or this will become Norm. We have doubled all our orders for Marvel and shrunk all others (other then Walking Dead). Marvel trades sales have exploded as well. Time to Pony up!
Marvel crushed the week with Secret Wars being a stellar hit and really everything you ever want a crossover comic to sell. No DC new #1 made the top 10…. or top 20 for that matter. That's a lot of returnable books DC is going to have to swallow. Amazing stuff from Image with Wic/Div beating out Star Wars, Non-Player #2 making the top 10 despite a 3 year hiatus, and Airboy #1 bringing up the rear in an extremely solid way.
Deadpool, Harley Quinn, Deadpool, Harley Quinn, Deadpool, Harley Quinn….
Between Secret Wars and Star Wars, Marvel definitely won the Top Ten Wars in our store! Bad news for Batman and Bizarro, both of which were in the bottom 10% of this week's new release sales. Our suspicions that no one wanted these books have proven true!
Marvel and Dark Horse Star Wars issues are seeing a lot of life. Also seeing a continued uptick in interest for non-key Silver Age Marvel, with titles like Tales of Suspense and Tales to Astonish showing a lot of activity.
Wow, red hot sales for new comics. Marvel easily took most of the top ten. Secret Wars 3 still selling very well. Star Wars and Darth Vader I had ordered more than the previous issue and still sold more than I did of the previous issue. Justice League 41 was easily DC's best selling title. Omega Man 1 was hardly touched. Action Comics 41 would have done better if I had more copies. Sold out of it on Wednesday. A majority of the Secret Wars spin offs are selling very well. Future Imperfect was not a hit oddly enough even though Planet Hulk was. That surprised me. Best new comic sales of this year.
Suicide Squad back issues are still in high demand. We just hardly have any left. Even the Legends limited series where the modern day Suicide Squad first showed up in we are now out of.
