Bleeding Cool Bestseller List – 3rd January 2016 – A DC Way To End The Year

This is the Top Ten Bleeding Cool Bestseller List, as compiled by a number of comic stores from their sales on Wednesday and Thursday. It measures what are known as the "Wednesday Warriors", those who can't wait to the weekend to get this week's comics. We salute you, and the keenness you bring to your passion.

And for once, DC Comics took the top three…with a Batman/Justice League combination as Marvel had a relatively weaker week – this doesn't count the Friday released titles however.

Marvel's lackluster service both to the stores and the consumers was a pitiful way to end 2015. However its 2016 and I'm sure that Marvel can't do anything worse in this new year.

Since Marvel decided to hold back seven of their releases, including two popular series premieres and an issue of Amazing Spider-Man, DC managed to get four books into the Top Ten this week. The big surprise is the ongoing success of Superman Lois & Clark, which DC readers enjoy for more than the currently dreary Superman main title. Maybe it's time to make THIS Superman the real Man of Steel again…

Lots of interest in Deadpool… you'd think he had a film coming up or something…

Great last week of 2015. Harley's Little Black bag variants once again really helped DC. Justice League 47 was the clear winner. Some confusion with the Marvel titles that came in but were suppose arrive next week. First we couldn't sell them. Then we could on Jan 1st. Hoping 2016 is as good as 2015 if not even better!
