The Adorable 'So So Happy' Is A Company To Watch
While browsing the floor at San Diego Comic Con, I came across a booth with cute/cool stuff (apparel, plush, accessories) I thought looked like an offshoot of Tokedoki. A closer look revealed characters wholly their own, and I was immediately drawn in. It turned out, this brightly colored booth was So So Happy, a company to watch, I'm convinced. The brainchild of a mother whose middle schooler was bullied, So So Happy consists of charming little monster-things (for lack of a better term) who each have their own personalities, centering around the idea that "we should accept everyone, as long as they're not harming anyone." Ozzie, for example, is an underwater electrician. His friends are concerned, naturally, but they won't object to his (albeit reckless) career choice because he isn't harming anyone. Taco has one bad eye, but with her good eye she can see for a thousand miles.
The products are made well and seem to be of good quality. The hoodies are so soft, and the bags are eye grabbing.
A look at their website reveals that they also carry natural and organic cosmetics! Everything about this company promotes acceptance and positivity in a ridiculously fun way, and it's getting attention. They've signed with Entertainment One and their bowler handbags are made through Loungefly (and they're extremely affordable at only $15.) Keep an eye out, this company is going places!
