Final Season Of Bates Motel Gets Premiere Date

batesFor those of you waiting for the return of Bates Motel, the A&E prequel series to Psycho, your wait won't be much longer. The fifth and final season of the series will debut February 20th at 10 PM.

Executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin have always had the story of young Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) planes for five seasons, building right up to and including the start of the film. Last season saw Norman bid farewell to his mother (Vera Farmiga), but she doesn't seem quite done with the series yet.

The fifth season will also introduce Marion Crane, the character famously portrayed by Janet Leigh in the Alfred Hitchcock directed thriller. The role now falls into the hands of singer Rhianna.
