Valiant's Faith-centric summer event officially begins next month in Faith and the Future Force #1… but how does Faith make it from the pages of her Eisner-nominated ongoing into July's universe-spanning title? Well, today's Faith #12 – the series' final issue  – from writer Jody Houser and artist Joe Eisma connects some of the dots for us…

When we last saw Faith, she was framed for murder and captured by the Faithless, a Sinister Six-style group comprised of her worst enemies…

But Faith was able to outsmart her captors and break free by turning them against each other, resulting in quite the kerfuffle…

Naturally, the fight gets a little out of control and triggers a magic-fueled explosion…one that looks capable of wiping out Faith and her antagonists alike…

Can Faith get out of this one—and more importantly—get her life back together in "time" for Faith and the Future Force #1? You'll have to read the whole thing to find out…

Unless she bites the dust in Harbinger Renegade #5 that is… oh, come on, you know that's coming.
