Asterix Succession… The Brothers Grin?

It has widely been stated that the upcoming Asterix: The Golden Book will be the final Asterix graphic novel by Asterix co-creator Albert Uderzo. There has been wide speculation that Trolls Of Troy author Christopher Arleston will take over the line of books.

Now Uderzo has stated that while he worked on the new book, he engaged two assistants to draw the character for merchandising an publicity purposes,  brothers Frédéric Mébrarki and Thierry Mébrarki. So close was their mimicry that no one could tell that the work was not from Uderzo.

The speculation is that the brothers will take up the artistic chores for new Astrix novels, to start next year.
