Where's Andy Mangels in Wonder Woman: Earth One Volume Two?
Did you pick up Wonder Woman: Earth One Volume Two by Grant Morrison and Yanick Paquette out the other week?
Did you see Andy Mangels? The gay rights and Wonder Woman campaigner who wrote and edited plenty of comics for DC (but not Wonder Woman), who created a celebratory Wonder Woman Day before DC Comics lawyers asked him to stop and who got to write a Wonder Woman comic book by stealth, via Dynamite who published his Wonder Woman '77 Meets The Bionic Woman?
Surely DC Comics wouldn't include Andy Mangels in the Earth One Wonder Woman comic? Maybe not, but artist Yanick Paquette did.
Don't see him? Let's zoom in.
Okay, one more time.
Andy Mangels writes,
Thanks to Yanick Paquette for featuring me in Wonder Woman Earth One Volume Two, the hardcover graphic novel that came out last week. He told me he'd find the perfect place for me, and it's on a great double-page splash in which Diana explains Amazon gender culture and addresses some important messages. And he drew me in my Wonder Priest robes that I perform marriages in (20 and counting)! Thanks again, Yanick Paquette!
And thank you, Andy Mangels.

But is the world ready for Wonder Woman? An American government, fraught with dissension and conflicts foreign to Diana, has deemed her a danger to society. How will Wonder Woman carry out her mission of peace and love in a world that can't get out of its own way? That is, unless there are more insidious forces at play…
