Will Marco Checchetto Move The Needle On Star Wars: The Screaming Citadel?

So a week ago, a bunch of comic book folk in London were sat in the pub talking about exactly which artists move the needle these days. And which have the potential to. As you do.

Kieron Gillen let it be known to all and sundry that his money was on Marco Checchetto, the artist on the upcoming Star Wars: The Screaming Citadel #1 oneshot. Which he happened to have written.

Cue lots of mocking laughter, accusations of favouritism and general hoots of derision.

But now you get a look for yourself. Without any pesky words to get in the way…

Rebel pilot and rogue archaeologist wander side-by-side into the darkest corners of the galaxy as Luke Skywalker reluctantly teams with Doctor Aphra! The good Doctor has an offer for this flyboy farm boy – help her, and she'll provide him with information crucial on his quest to become a Jedi. With an offer he can't refuse on the table, this unlikely duo finds themselves deep into the heart of the infamous Screaming Citadel! Can Luke find what he's looking for? Can Aphra be trusted? Or will the Citadel's Queen and the dark forces lurking within make their journey a one-way trip?!

Out May 10th, then continuing in Star Wars and Doctor Aphra comics.
