This of course is likely to go up as the weekend progresses- there *is* a full Sunday for them to up that number.  Reportedly, the by-country-box office-breakdown looks something like this for the film: $37.5M in China, $16.3M in the United Kingdom, $12.8M in Germany, $12.1M in Russia, $11.8M in South Korea, and $11.7M in France, at least according to Box Office Pro.

This puts Crimes of Grindelwald ahead of the first Fantastic Beasts film, which in 2016 made $145.5M overseas and $219.9 million globally.

There seems to be no shortage of division about this particular Wizarding World title- fans and critics alike can't seem to decide on whether or not they enjoy this particular outing of Newt Scamander and co. Specifically, we're seeing a lot of opinions on just how well-versed in the universe viewers need to be to really enjoy the film.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the second of a planned 5-film series set in the Wizarding World, which will continue the story just how bad Grindelwald is.

The film opened Friday, November 16th and is in theaters world wide.
