Miami Dolphins Coach Resigns After Video Of Him Snorting White Powder Surfaces

The Miami Dolphins organization was caught off guard last night when a video surfaced of their offensive line coach Chris Foerster snorting what looks like cocaine before going to a team meeting. This morning, Foerster has resigned from the team, say he will seek professional help. He said in a statement:

"I am resigning from my position with the Miami Dolphins and accept full responsibility for my actions. I want to apologize to the organization and my sole focus is on getting the help that I need with the support of my family and medical professionals."

This was the coach's second time with the club and his second season this stint. Head Coach Adam Gase was made aware of the video around 10:45 p.m. EST Sunday night. He and general manager Chris Grier discussed what they should do. The team has released a statement saying:

"We were made aware of the video late last night and have no tolerance for this behavior. After speaking with Chris this morning, he accepted full responsibility and we accepted his resignation effective immediately. Although Chris is no longer with the organization, we will work with him to get the help he needs during this time."

Reports say that Gase spoke with Foerster, who apologized. The team is not aware of how old the video is or where exactly it was filmed, but they are aware of how it surfaced. The team is continuing to investigate.

Gase said:

"It's not a good situation. It's not something you expect. But things happen sometimes that you don't anticipate and you have to deal with it. It's not fun, especially when you're close to somebody. But you gotta take the next step and move on because we're going to play on Sunday."

The video shows the 56-year-old Foerster using a $20 bill to snort a white powder off a table while telling the camera: "Hey, I miss you. Thinking about you. How about me going to a meeting and doing this before I go."

Reports say Kijuana Nige, a Las Vegas-based model that used to date Foerster, posted the video late Sunday after the Dolphins owner Steven Ross came out saying he disagreed with players kneeling during the national anthem.

Foerster was believed to be making between $2.5 million and $3 million a year.
