"The Falcon and the Winter Soldier": Let Sebastian Stan & Anthony Mackie Be Your "Love Doctors" This Valentine's Day [VIDEO]
You would think that being in the middle of production on Disney+'s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier would keep Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier) and Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson aka Falcon) on set and in action 24/7 – especially if the series wants to hit it's Fall 2020 debut window. It's understandable: with it being the first live-action series under the Marvel banner for the streaming service, there's an expectation that the series is expected to do for the MU what The Mandalorian did for the Star Wars universe: be huge.
But they're not just heroes on-screen – they're more than willing to be a "dynamic duo" when it comes to advice for a quality Valentine's Day. There's only two steps, so you won't have to bother taking notes (though it felt like there would be more) – and if we're being honest? They sound really tired at the end there… how many hours were they up at this point?
Sacrifice, people. Sacrifice…
Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier), Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson aka Falcon) returning to their feature film roles, alongside Emily VanCamp (SHIELD agent Sharon Carter), Daniel Bruhl (Baron Zemo), Wyatt Russell (John Walker aka US Agent), Desmond Chiam (Now Apocalypse), and Miki Ishikawa (The Terror: Infamy). Noah Mills (The Enemy Within, The Brave) was recently cast in an undisclosed role.
In early November 2019, series stars Stan and Mackie had some great news to share with fans, taking to Marvel Studios' Instagram account to post a "story" announcing that production on the streaming series was officially underway. Following that, Mackie jumped on Twitter to make it "uber-official" with a shot of their respective on-set director's chairs.
Disney+ gave viewers a look at concept art for the upcoming series from the documentary Marvel Studios: Expanding the Universe – which aired when the streaming went live in November.
Following up on Super Bowl Sunday's sneak preview of WandaVision, The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, and Loki – Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed during the company's regular conference calls that The Falcon and the Winter Solider will debut August 2020, with WandaVision set for December 2020. No release date was set for Loki, but the series is expected to have a Spring 2021 debut.
