Falling in Cyberpunk Love With Ysbryd's VA-11 HALL-A at PAX East
While wandering into the Ysbryd booth over at PAX East, I was quickly introduced to a game I didn't know I needed in my life until I sat down at the keyboard and found myself serving up cocktails in VA-11 HALL-A. The game has actually been out for a while on Steam but not a lot of players may be aware of it. The game puts you in a bar as a bartender talking to customers as you serve their favorite drinks, as well as making concoctions on the fly for people who are undecided. Meanwhile, something just isn't quite right with you as it seems you occasionally talk to people who aren't really there.
The game is kind of funky and kind of odd in places, but I fell in love with the story as cyberpunk titles have a special place in my heart with the way they can twist and bend the story and narratives on a whim because "the future". I highly recommend checking it out on Steam if you're into text adventures with a little bit of resource management crafting and a few points of not knowing what the hell is going on and trying to decide if you're crazy.
