DC Comics Cancels Orders for Warren Ellis and Ramon Villalobos' Wildcats #1-3

In his recent newsletter, Warren Ellis brought us up to date with his current writing progress.

So, for those who like to keep up – all five issues of TREES: THREE FATES are in the can, there are two WILDCATS scripts and a complete detailed story document, I'm looking at issue 5 of BATMAN'S GRAVE's structure, I just filed the PROJECT KATRA season document, Colleen is working on FINALITY, and INJECTION Vol 4 is on the rails now and we'll announce scheduling once Declan's going on it. And I'm producing on CASTLEVANIA every day. Don't ask me when Season 3 goes live, I'm not allowed to tell you. Netflix show, you know.

But it may take some time before we get to see those Wildcats scripts. DC Comics has informed retailers that the three solicited issues of the series so far, issues 1 to 3 by Warren Ellis and Ramon Villalobos, have had their orders cancelled and will be resoliicted at a later date. But the planned August launch will now only be in November, at the earliest. Possible 2020… here's what was solicited.

One of those experiments is about to explode-revealing whole new worlds in the battle for sanity that the wild CAT has been fighting. WILDCATS thought their world was strange, but they're about to find out how strange…and how high the stakes really are.

There is a way station floating in the Bleed, the space between macrocosms. It is a still point in the whole of reality, where a woman is trying very hard not to go insane and make everything die. But it is haunted by the ghosts of 52 universes, and she is losing her grip. If the wild cat can't rescue her, and she loses, the Multiverse gets poisoned to death.

The wild CAT is partly crewed by members of an expedition from another planet. They have caught the attention of another expedition. One from another universe. The Kherans in the CAT were going to turn Earth into a slave world. The Forerunners from another universe need to turn Earth into a Warworld. And they're going to use Adrianna to do it. With a boom tube and a mother box
