Last month, Bleeding Cool ran the mindless speculation that this was Ultimate Wolverine, another character who had made it over to Marvel's Prime Earth after the collapse of all the other realities, with the Ultimate universe the last to go. He looks like this – also fdrawn by Art Adams.

Not so mindless it seems, after reading X-Men Blue #1 today… with one fellow popping up in the background.

Against Wendigo, a character that the Marvel Universe's Wolverine has some history with…

On the teaser page at the end of the book, there's an image of the Brotherhood from X-men: Battle of the Atom. But there's one character that's missing, Raze. Remember, Raze is the son of Mystique and Wolverine. He can shape-shift. He also has three claws, just like Wolverine. And the O5 X-men have already battled the Brotherhood twice. In both cases, the door was open for them to return. That includes Raze.

So with that little tidbit in mind, I think I can revise my speculation from earlier. Raze does make some sense because the O5 have battled the future Brotherhood before. Plus, being a shape-shifter, he could look like anyone he wanted. Just thought I'd point that out because that's a possibility I didn't even contemplate until I saw that teaser at the end of X-men Blue #1.

Make your mind up, Jack!!!

X-Men Blue #1 by Cullen Bunn, Jorge Molina and Matteo Buffagni is published by Marvel Comics today.
