Avatar Plug Of The Week: Wolfskin TPB Vol One by Warren Ellis, Mike Wolfer, Juan Jose Ryp and Gianluca Pagliarani

wolfWolfskin is the fantasy fusion saga written by Warren Ellis and drawn by Juan Jose Ryp, the creators of the recent smash No Hero. Juan's style, reminiscent of Geoff Darrow, is no longer obsesses by the details of brick and stone, but here it is tree and branch and leaf that suck the think lines from his pen.

Equally, Warren Ellis, at home in a world of mobile phones, satellites, and cigarettes portrays a jungle, a natural world, receiving its first infection from barbnarian, viking and samurai influences.

And naturally it's as violent as all hell.

With a second series on the way from Ellis and Wolfer, this collection is a great excuse to catch up with the original mini-series and the subsequent annual.
