DC Rebirth Previews Was Put Together By Ex-Wizard Magazine Staffers
Did the DC Rebirth Previews look a little familiar to you? The splashy look? The punny headlines? The side boxes, page turners and font sizes?
I'm told that the people behind it were headhunted within DC Comics, as those who had previously worked on Wizard Magazine.
It was written by Pat Mccallum, Mike Cotton and Brian Cunningham, all ex-Wizard writers now working at DC Comics in one capacity or other.
They hired in ex-Wizard editor Andy Serwin to edit it (with promises of more work to come).
And even went to original Wizard designer Steve Blackwell to put it all together
And that Dan DiDio final page was totally intended as a homage to twisted Toyfare Theater, which originally appeared in Wizard before spinning off into TV show Robot Chicken.
