Dragonero, The Next Sergio Bonelli Ongoing Series
Bleeding Cool recently reported that Sergio Bonelli Editore was to publish a brand new ongoing series, Saguaro, something it hasn't done for many years. Well, you wait for ages and two come along at once – or artehr, a year apart.
Dragonero is a new ongoing series planned by the Italian publisher 2013.
Based on the existing oneshot by Luca Enoch, other artists will be on board to help create the one-hundred-pages-a-month story.
They will include original artist Joseph Stefano Vietti Matteoni as well as Alfio Buscaglia, Christian Kitchen, Sergio Gianluca Pagliarani Gerasi, Gianluca Gregorini, Giancarlo Olivares, Francesco Rizzo, Antonella Platano, Giuseppe De Luca and Andrea Bormida.
You can see an English language preview of the book here. The synopsis reads;
Beyond the civilized lands of Erondar, the Stone Towers are crumbling. The great monoliths are falling one after another under the wild thrusts of an evil force. The Ancient Prohibition that binds the Abominables inside their dark world is soon to be broken. Alben the Wizard knows what must be done. He will send for Myrva, a young follower of the powerful Technocrats; he will choose Ecuba, the fighting nun, to protect him; and he will call back Ian Aranill, a former Empire officer – followed by Gmor the Orc, his loyal friend – to use his scouting experience. Together they will face the Painers, the evil beings who still live in the barren Dragonlands. Can Ian prevail against the last, horrible threat they will be facing?
Could this be your sort of thing?
