Graphic Novelist Nikhil Singh Speaks Out About Being Kept Out Of UK For Book LaunchGraphic novelist Nikhil Singh has spoken out against British visa laws that saw him being kept out of the UK last year when his new illustrated book was being launched – because he doesn't have a university degree.

Singh was living in the UK until August last year under an artists' visa when the renewal of his visa was rejected. The artist's category had been rejected, replaced by a skilled worker category. This meant he missed the launch of his graphic novel Salem Brownstone: All Along the Watchtowers, written with John Dunning.

Singh has stated;

The new immigration laws have insinuated an atmosphere of creative policing that is entirely out of character with the various professions it has affected.

He currently lives in South Africa, while his partner lives in the UK, and he has had two subsequent applications to enter the UK rejected.
