Jimmy Palmiotti, Justin Gray and Giancarlo Caracuzzo's new graphic novella from Image Comics is published next week. A metatextual tale about a comic character becoming real and impinging on the lives of its creators in a serial-killing spree, there's plenty of comic book aspects anecdotes to the tale. Here's one, with the characters retelling the tale of Mark Waid, his first trip to Vermont to sign at a non-existent Vermont comic shop.

Though I do remember that after this tale surfaced again last year, doubt was expressed by an actual Vermont comic shop manager who had Mark Waid for a signing a few years earlier than the time the events were described, with surface similarities but none of the negative details… he probably won't be happy to see this tale repeated.
