Received An Injury At Being A Superhero That Was Possibly Your Fault? Uncanny Avengers #29 SPOILERS
There are all sorts of superheroes with superhero abilities. Super strength, invulnerability, steel skin, healing powers and more. Sometimes they combine. But there are plenty of superheroes with less biological physical powers such as optic blasts, wings, ice generation, flaming on, mind control, hallucinations, light manipulation, who don't seem to wear any visible body armour and yet manage to survive supervillain confrontations relatively unscathed.
I recall reading Excalibur by Alan Davis, when Nightcrawler broke his leg. He was in a cast for ages, but even that was sped up by some previously unannounced fact that all mutants have increased healing abilities. Yeah, I didn't buy that either. And while DC Comics loves to chop off a limb, they always seem to come back somehow.
So mostly such injuries get ignored or evaded. Colossus takes the punches, Cyclops just falls over.
But Jim Zub is having none of that. In today's Uncanny Avengers #29 with Sean Izaakse, Juanan Ramirez and Tamra Bonvillain the Inhuman character Synapse with mind control powers goes up against the Juggernaut. With his secondary helmet still on.
A minor graze on the forehead? A sprained ankle that might need a couple of days' rest? Not this time.
And Inhumans don't have those inherent increased healing abilities do they? Maybe there's a number she could call to get compensation…
Sue the government! And if the civil servant objects, possess his mind so you can make him change it…
